Frequently asked questions

Trial and billing

How does the 30-day trial work?

Sign up, pick your modules and seats, and use the full product for 30 days. A card is collected at checkout and first charged when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you are not billed.

What is a seat?

Every person who logs into the platform uses a seat: the owner, managers and each employee with their own login. One seat price covers every module your account owns; there are no per-module seat charges. Starter seats are $10 a month, Growth $12, Business $15.

Can I add or drop modules?

Yes, modules are flat monthly add-ons. The pricing page has the current numbers.

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Yes, 10%. Promotion codes are accepted at checkout.

Getting your data in and out

How do I migrate from spreadsheets or another system?

CSV import works across products, customers, vendors and more, with per-row failure reporting that tells you exactly which lines failed and why. Custom fields import too. Every table exports, so your data is never locked in.

Is there an API?

Yes. A versioned REST API with token authentication covers effectively every resource, on the Growth tier and above. Outbound webhooks POST record events to any URL you nominate, signed with a shared secret. The API reference is generated from the code itself.

Which integrations exist?

QuickBooks Online, Shopify, WooCommerce, ShipStation, Gmail and Outlook mailbox sync, Stripe and Square for collecting payments, and Twilio for SMS. All optional, connected by you, and disconnectable at any time.

Security and data handling

Can Pelton Solutions staff see my data?

Not without your approval. If our support team needs to look at something they request access and say why. You get an email and a banner in your account, you choose how long they get, and you can end it early. Everyone in your account can see when we are in there, not just admins.

We can always see your plan, seat count, storage use and email delivery health. We cannot see your inventory, customers, orders, invoices or costs unless you let us in. The full explanation, including the one emergency exception, is here.

Where is my data hosted?

On AWS in the United States, behind a load balancer with WAF managed rules and rate limiting. Traffic is encrypted in transit, object storage and cache are encrypted at rest, and every query is automatically constrained to your account.

Do you store card data?

No. Your subscription card lives with Stripe; payments you collect from your customers go through your own Stripe or Square account. We keep only the card brand and last four digits of your billing card.

What about MFA and SSO?

Not currently available, and neither is EU or UK data residency. We would rather say that here than have you find out in procurement.

Is there an audit trail?

Yes. Every change is recorded with before and after values and who made it, including API writes attributed to the token that made them. Most changes can be undone from the record's history tab.

Product scope

What does Knowledge ERP deliberately not do?

Payroll and benefits, advanced HRIS, full double-entry accounting, enterprise finite scheduling and MRP-II, and EDI infrastructure. Basic financial reporting is included and QuickBooks Online is the accounting system of record. The full list is on the homepage, on purpose.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The web app is responsive, so checkouts, transfers and lookups work from a phone or tablet browser wherever the stock is.
